Carlos Warren’s Address To The Alliance

Yesterday we lost our deathstar POS in the Battle Of Itamo to a 700 strong INIT Leshak fleet. INIT had declared war on us the previous day, seemingly for no reason, and all attempts by us to contact their diplomats for an explanation and attempts to explore avenues for a peaceful resolution of whatever beef they might have had with us, were met with silence.

Since the creation of TSOTH, we have faced constant unprovoked wardecs and relentless hostility from groups like INIT. The big nullsec groups hate the fact that we refuse to join the blocs, they hate us for aspiring to be something greater than faceless cogs in a blue donut megacorp. My vision for nullsec is in direct contradiction to those who prefer the status quo. My vision for nullsec is that we move beyond stagnation. Massive superpowers, big blocs in a Cold War type situation where they are risk averse to go to all out war, are not healthy for the game. What we need is the removal of titan blobs, and massive coalitions. Nullsec needs to be lots of little independent groups fighting it out, and it is that vision which TSOTH has been fighting for.

Even with the most favourable propaganda, there can be no denying that INITs unprovoked war against us and subsequent destruction of the Itamo POS has weakened our alliance and severely undermined our credibility as a major force to be reckoned with. I had been boasting for months that the POS was extremely well defended and the most fortified structure in our alliances history. Some of our enemies were claiming that I had declared it “invincible”, however this shows a lack of understanding of EVE mechanics as no structure can actually be made truly invincible. At best, you can make a structure extremely difficult to destroy and that is what we managed here. The INIT aggressors struggled, and suffered heavy losses in their assault, but ultimately prevailed against the most well defended fortress in TSOTH history and credit must be given for that achievement.

TSOTH has suffered multiple setbacks recently, under my leadership. Some of those setbacks are due to things outside my control. No one could have forseen that INIT, an alliance we have never had any conflict with, randomly declaring war on us and being willing to form multiple multi hundred ship fleets to bash the POS. But as the CEO, I am responsible for the alliance and I want to let you all know that I understand the difficulties we are facing. But we will improve. But we will improve. We will begin rebuilding, and resupplying. We will redouble our efforts against the blue donut.

The TSOTH Intelligence Directorate has completed compiling a list of all pilots who were on the POS killmail, and they will be hunted down in game. Any ships they have will be ganked, any structures they have will be taken down. We have long memories, locator agents, and spy alts sitting in every alliance and every channel.

The rumours that we will be leaving Itamo are unfounded. Itamo is our home and we will be remaining there for the forseeable future. I want to thank our members who have shown faith in my leadership, and I will continue to lead you and we will overcome these difficult times. For TSOTH, for victory!

Will you resign as CEO after your failure to lead a successful defense?
