TSOTH have neutralized a Raitaru in Paara last night, in a well planned operation that saw zero losses for us. But why did we attack this structure in the first place?
Ever since we ramped up offensive operations against Pandemic Horde, we have been systematically targeting their industrial base. Identifying structures and engineering complexes they use to build things. We have had remarkable success in this area, causing or assisting in the destruction of many engineering complex in Horde space. As a result of their industrial capability being slowly choked off, we believe that Horde have now switched tactics. They know that if they put up a Horde-flagged engineering complex, we will notice it and arrange for its destruction, so we think they are now trying to hide their production lines from us by running them in engineering complexes owned by random corps that are open to the public. They think this will prevent us from identifying which structures to attack, and that has an element of truth to it. Our intelligence can trivially identify any Horde-owned structure, it is far more difficult for us to identify a Horde production line in operation when it’s in a random high sec structure. But TSOTH Intelligence is very good, and we had reason to believe that this Raitaru might have been used by some members in Horde for such a purpose.
We had been monitoring this structure for some time, and eventually we fed in all available intel on it to our in-house AI, CarlosGPT, which concluded there was a 63% probability the Raitaru was being used for this purpose by some members of Horde. A decision was therefore made to neutralize it, and that is what we did last night, in a textbook structure bash operation and suffered zero losses of our own. We had some unintentional “assistance” from our old enemy BLACKFLAG who appeared to have wanted to join in on the kill timer after noticing the structure was reinforced.
