I would like to wish everyone in Pandemic Horde a very happy Christmas. While our two alliances were at war in-game for 8 years, culminating in your recent defeat, I have always respected the actual players. It is impossible to be sat cloaky camping people for nearly a decade and not develop some kind of respect for them. Over time, I have ganked newbies, and then watched them become better players, learn form their mistakes, and ultimately become part of the standing fleet response rushing in to save the next newbie from being ganked. It’s like “the student becomes the teacher” vibes. I dislike Horde because you bashed our structures back in 2017, and because you were part of the blue donut I think is bad for the game, but you have also helped countless newbies become better players. You have helped people get into nullsec who otherwise would have struggled, or simply wouldn’t have managed. Admiration for that must be given.
A few months ago, the system I use to monitor Horde Discord pinged an alert that someone had said “Carlos” in the general channel. I had a look and it was from a player who remembered me from 2017 when Horde were in Fade. He had taken a break for 6 years, had resubbed, deathcloned to the new staging, and found it hilarious that I was still following Horde doing my propaganda bit in local after all that time. I found it funny that he found it funny.
While I am happy that Horde has finally been defeated, I will also miss you in a way. Fighting Horde has been a big part of TSOTH’s history, from 2017-2025, and I don’t mind saying that the EVE universe will feel quite different without you.
I understand that some of you are joining INIT alliance. Those of you who are will be pleased to know that you will still see TSOTH around. We are shifting the focus of our cloaky camping campaign to INIT in retaliation for their unprovoked attack on our Itamo POS earlier this year
For those of you who are moving onto other alliances, may I take this opportunity to wish you all the best in whatever you do next in EVE.
And to everyone in Horde, regardless of what you are doing, or who you are joining next, I sincerely wish you all a very happy Christmas and I hope you enjoy the festive period.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!
Carlos Warren
